Lawn & acreage care in Tynong.
Tynong and Tynong North sit at the rural eastern edge of the Cardinia Shire, where the blocks are big and the grass is serious. We run ride-on and slasher gear for the paddocks and the kept areas, and we travel out here on our regular eastern run.
The Tynong block story.
Rural blocks at the edge of the shire.
Tynong and Tynong North, tucked against the foothills east of Pakenham and Nar Nar Goon, are genuinely rural: large lifestyle blocks, grazing paddocks, bush blocks and house paddocks rather than estate lawns. The grass grows long and the country is bigger, so the gear matters. We bring a ride-on for the kept areas and a heavy-duty slasher for the paddocks, and we get a big job knocked over in a session rather than dragging it out over weeks.
Bushfire risk and fuel reduction.
The Tynong country sits in or near the Bushfire Management Overlay against the foothills, so fuel reduction is not optional, it is sensible. Long cured grass is fire fuel. We slash the paddocks down through the October to early December window, before the CFA Fire Danger Period restrictions for Cardinia Shire start, and create defendable space around the house, sheds, tanks and along the boundaries in line with CFA guidance. Book the fire-season slash early because the whole eastern shire wants it done in the same few weeks.
Fence lines, tracks and access.
On a Tynong block the fence lines, internal tracks and the long driveway all grow over and need keeping clear. We knock back the long grass along the boundaries, clear around the sheds and water tanks, and keep access passable. Where there is a kept garden close to the house we will mow it and tidy the beds and shrubs at the same visit.
